Used tyre casings have to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
There are two ways to do this. One way is to sell your used casings to a casing company like ourselves.
For over 40 Years we have been buying casings at our premises in Sunderland. We do offer a collection and inspection Service and offer Payment on the day.
We can pay anything up to £40 for certain types of casings and are currently the only buyer paying decent prices for Chinese and other less well known makes.
The second way is to take them to a recycling company and pay approximately £70 per tonne.
There is around 15 tyres to a tonne...You do the maths.....Quite expensive when you consider the cost already borne by the road haulier..
You need to have waste transfer notes up to date and be able to show the environment agency where they have been taken too.
